Many People Are Concerned About The Recent Condition Of The Newly Built Bridge On The Jialing River.
Recently, there have been many fan friends in our hometown of Nanchong inquiring about the construction of the Lidu Jialing River Bridge. A while ago, on the way back from visiting Shuangdian in Jialing District, we made a special trip to Lidu Town to share with our friends the construction of the Jialing River Bridge in Lidu.
Lidu is a large town in Jialing District. There is a legend about the origin of the name Lidu. According to legend, in the first year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty (1368), an old man surnamed Li rented out 66 acres of farmland purchased by the Jialing River and set up a boat to cross the river for free. People named the ferry crossing by the Jialing River "Li Du" in gratitude to the elderly, and the name Li Du came from it.
In the past, people used to travel between the two sides of the Jialing River either by ferry at the Lidu Ferry Terminal or by taking long detours on highways. The Lidu Jialing River Bridge is located outside the old street of Changzhen, next to the yellow fruit tree in Baosha Temple. Its construction will greatly improve the transportation of people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and contribute to the economic and social development of the hometown.
When we arrived at the Jialing River in Lidu that day, it was noon and the weather was hot. The sun was so scorching that people couldn't even keep their eyes open. From the path that the villagers opened up, we arrived at the Jialing River and filmed the construction of the Lidu Jialing River Bridge in the distance.
Due to ongoing construction, it is not possible to enter the construction site and take a look on the bridge. It can only be recorded and shared with everyone from afar. Let local villagers understand the development of their hometown. We look forward to the early completion and opening of the Lidu Jialing River Bridge, which will facilitate the exchange of people on both sides of the strait.
