Should We Choose Epoxy Flooring Or Wear-Resistant Flooring For Floor Construction

Epoxy flooring technology refers to coating epoxy resin flooring paint on a solidified cement floor to form a dense organic protective layer. The protective layer has chemical properties such as water resistance, acid and alkali resistance, oil resistance, and salt spray corrosion resistance, and is flat, seamless, easy to clean, and easy to maintain.

Wear resistant flooring refers to the process of adding diamond sand or other aggregates during the pouring of cement or concrete, which solidifies as a whole.

Compare epoxy flooring and wear-resistant flooring from two aspects:

1. Hardness and Wear Resistance: The hardest resin for epoxy flooring has a Mohs hardness of 2-3, while the Mohs hardness for wear-resistant flooring is 6-7. It is obvious that wear-resistant flooring is superior.

2. Service life: The general service life of epoxy resin floor paint can reach 5-8 years. Wear resistant flooring belongs to cement products, and the surface may experience weathering, dust, and sand formation. The general service life is about 5-8 years.

From the comparison of the above two aspects, it is not difficult to see the difference between the two, it depends on where you use the floor.
