To this end, with the support of Haikou City and the collaboration of all parties, a material and equipment entry coordination group has been established for the Phase II expansion project. While actively coordinating with manufacturers to resume production and supply as soon as possible, measures such as changing the brand and purchasing products of the same specifications from local manufacturers in Hainan will be taken to remedy the temporarily unavailable materials.

"At present, the second phase expansion project has successfully solved the urgent problem of materials and equipment entering the site, and can be synchronized and matched with returning workers. It is reported that the design goal of Haikou Meilan International Airport Phase II is to meet the annual passenger throughput of 35 million people and the annual cargo and mail throughput of 400000 tons by 2025. After completion and opening up, it will not only provide hardware infrastructure support for Hainan's vigorous development of tourism and transportation of a large number of passengers, but also integrate various transportation modes such as aviation, railway, and road, establish an efficient and convenient transportation transfer system, create an aviation regional gateway hub for the Pacific and Indian Oceans, and assist in the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.
