Hangzhou Metro Line 16 Is Open, With a Total Length Of Approximately 35.12 Kilometers, Starting From Lin'An Scenic Area In The West

Hangzhou Daily News: This afternoon, the Hangzhou Metro simultaneously pressed two "open buttons". The rear section of Metro Line 5 and the double track of Line 16 are jointly opened.

The Hangzhou Metro Line 16 (formerly known as the Hangzhou Linzhou Intercity Railway) is the first rail transit line connecting the main urban area of Hangzhou and Lin'an District. It starts from Jiuzhou Street Station in Lin'an in the west and ends at Luting Road Station in Yuhang in the east, with a total length of about 35.12 kilometers. There are a total of 12 stations along the entire line, including 4 elevated stations and 8 underground stations.

It is understood that Line 5 has a total length of 56.21 kilometers, and after the opening of the later section, it will connect 7 urban areas; The train on Line 5 adopts an AH type car with a 4-motor, 2-trailer, and 6-car formation, with a designed maximum operating speed of 80 kilometers per hour. After opening, the daily interval between trains on Line 5 is 6 minutes and 50 seconds. The operation and service time of Line 5 is consistent with the existing Lines 1, 2, and 4. The first train departs from the starting station at 06:00 every day, and the last train departs from the starting station at 22:30. It is worth noting that the entrance and exit of Baoshanqiao Station have not been completed, and the South Railway Station is located below the East Square of the South Railway Station. Due to the incomplete construction of the East Square, it does not currently have the conditions for opening.

The total length of Line 16 is 35.12 kilometers, with 12 stations, including 4 elevated stations; The starting station of the line is located at Kyushu Street Station, and the ending station is Luting Road Station. This station can transfer with Line 3 and Line 5.

Line 16 adopts a 4-car B-type train with a designed maximum operating speed of 120 kilometers per hour and an average travel speed of 60 kilometers per hour, making it the fastest running line of Hangzhou Metro at present. After its opening, the daily travel interval for Line 16 is 9 minutes.

The operation and service time of Line 16 is basically consistent with the existing Lines 1, 2, and 4. The starting time at Kyushu Street Station is 06:10, and the last bus is 22:33. The departure time of Luting Road is 06:20, and the last bus is 22:33.

The decoration of Line 16 stations is themed around "Shining Hangzhou", extracting technological and cultural elements to shape the space.

The Lin'an Square Station extracts the distinctive features of Lin'an Square as design elements, abstracts and applies them to reflect the cultural heritage around the station; The Qingshan Lake Station extracts the dynamic curve of the "water" of Qingshan Lake as a design element, using streamlined design techniques to create a sparkling atmosphere in the Jiangnan water town; The Qingshanhu Science and Technology City Station is an elevated station in the middle of the road, designed with "ginkgo leaves" and veins both indoors and outdoors, using curved architectural elements to create a modern and simple transportation architectural image; Fengxin Road Station extracts commercial elements to create a modern, concise, and commercial subway space.

After the opening of Line 16, a new member will be added to the multidimensional coordinate system of Hangzhou urban rail transit.

Line 16 has two themed trains, one dedicated to the future and named "Future Technology". A column with a focus on green mountains and clear waters, named "Green Mountains and Clear Waters". They will carry the dream of urban rail transit in Lin'an District, encounter green mountains and rivers, and create an acceleration of integration with Hangzhou.

In addition, the Municipal Subway Group has also prepared two 40 meter long "special trains" at the D channel of the Citizen Center Station on Line 4. When you walk through this passage, you can see two standing trains on the wall, as well as many iconic buildings in Hangzhou.

On the corridor wall, Line 16, with its exclusive deep orange color, travels through green mountains and rivers all the way towards the main urban area. The blue color of Line 5 connects various lines and connects various urban areas through numerous transfer stations. If you pass through this passage, you may want to leave a photo as a souvenir.

"With the opening of the later section of Line 5, the entire Line 5 has become the longest single line of the Hangzhou Metro so far, crossing 7 urban areas. Line 16, which opened its doors to welcome passengers at the same time, has made the dream of the ancient city of Lin'an a reality, and the one hour transportation circle from Lin'an to the main urban area has truly been realized." The person in charge of the Hangzhou Metro Group introduced that this is the first time that the Hangzhou Metro has opened both lines on the same day, and has set a record for the longest operating mileage on the same day.

At present, the operating mileage of Hangzhou's rail transit has increased by 71 kilometers, and the total mileage has been rewritten to 206 kilometers, further improving the transportation structure, mode of travel, and efficiency of Hangzhou, and enhancing its urban level.
